Meet the BH Providers Dr. Resa Noe-Norman, PMHNP Resa Noe-Norman is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) currently residing in Tennessee. She completed her Master of Science in Mental Health Nursing at the UT in Knoxville, TN then went on to attend Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she received a Doctor of Nursing degree. Resa would describe herself as a clinician who is neutral, calm, and laid back. She believes in unconditional positive regard which is simply showing complete support and acceptance of a person no matter what they say or do. Resa was raised in a rural community and moved back home to serve the same areas. In her free time, Resa enjoys working out, tumbling, and spending time with her husband, daughter and family. Resa has a few pets which include 7 bunnies, 2 chihuahuas, 1 Labmaraner and fish. Kristee Barker, LCSW Kristee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has 11 years of experience working as a behavioral health therapist. Kristee lived in Staunton, VA from 2 016-2 019, and feels very lucky to have discovered Highland County and HMC then. She worked at HMC for 3 years and fell in love with the county and the people. Kristee and her family began a military nomadic lifestyle when her husband commissioned in the Army as an officer, Kristee stayed on with HMC as a telehealth therapist until 2021. Kristee has experience working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, family issues, and grief and loss. She specializes in the treatment of PTSD and trauma utilizing EMDR. Kristee has experience working with ages 9 and older. Kristee is very excited to rejoin the HMC team and serve the people of Highland County as a telehealth therapist working remotely from her home in San Antonio, Texas.

MEET THE NUTRITIONIST Cindy Maerz, RD, CDCES Cindy is a registered dietitian and diabetes educator who received her BS in Food Science from Utah State University and her Master of Education in Nutrition and Dietetics from UNC Greensboro. She has spent her career working in community health, diabetes education, and in family practice settings teaching nutrition to people of all ages. "Healthy eating is not a one-size-fits-all situation. I enjoy meeting people where they are in life and helping them nourish a healthier relationship with food that fits with their lifestyle, priorities, and health situations. And I also love talking about food all day!" A recent newcomer to Highland County, Cindy enjoys spending time exploring new places, hiking with her family, DIY projects and being taken on long walks by her dog Luna. Cindy provides nutrition education, health, and nutrition related goal setting tailored to meet your individual needs. Don’t Wait to Vaccinate cancer.org/hpv Highland Medical Center DID YOU KNOW… The American Cancer Society recommends that boys and girls get vaccinated against HPV between the ages of 9 and 12 to help prevent six types of cancer later in life. Age Matters When you vaccinate your child on time, you help protect them from HPV cancers. HPV vaccination works best when given before age 13. Vaccination at the recommended ages will prevent more cancers than vaccination at older ages. Cancer Prevention Decreases as Age at Vaccination Increases On Time Ages 9-12 2 Doses 6-12 months apart Late Ages 13-14 2 Doses 6-12 months apart Late – Extra Dose Ages 15-26 3 Doses 1st dose at visit one 2nd dose 1-2 months later 3rd dose 6 months after 1st dose This tool was supported in part by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Cooperative Agreement Number NH23IP000953-03.

Meet the HMC Dental Department (from right to left) Meagan Neil, RDH Meagan is a registered dental hygienist who received her degree from WVU Tech in 2007. Meagan is a lifelong resident of Highland County. "I am ready to deliver compassionate, high quality dental care to the communities HMC serves." Meagan enjoys spending time with her husband Timmy and children Hensley and Lane. Dan Sudimack, DDS Dan Sudimack is a general family dentist who received his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Texas A&M University and ultimately received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2010. Dr. Sudimack chose to focus his dental career on community health and has served the communities of Texas over the last 13 years.
