Highland Medical Center is located in Monterey, Virginia in the beautiful mountain county of Highland. For over ten years HMC has provided a growing range of health care services to the region.

Every day, our dedicated HMC Team literally touches the lives of children, adults and seniors.

Every week, the Team provides high quality medical and dental care regardless of an individual’s ability to pay. Everyone receives the same tender loving care appropriate to their individual health needs.

In the past year, we have seen our community health center take enormous strides forward with the recruitment of a full-time dentist, a part-time dental hygienist, staffing of a new physical therapy/wellness center, and the expansion of our medical team.

In the not too distant future, our plans are to establish an outpatient pharmacy. And, we are even beginning to plan for a very much needed long-term care facility for our region.

The HMC Team is dedicated to improving services and caring for the health of the Highlands, offering primary medical care, dentistry, physical therapy, and a wellness center. In addition, our medications dispensary and mental health and substance abuse counseling provide needed services right here in the Allegheny Highlands.

These services are available to all residents of Bath, Highland, Pocahontas, Pendleton, and West Augusta, regardless of an individual’s ability to pay.
